Michael Toledano is a writer, photographer, and documentary filmmaker focusing on Canada’s resource and fossil fuel sectors and the indigenous communities that they impact. He has co-produced documentaries on Sarnia’s Chemical Valley and the Unist’ot’en clan’s resistance to fossil fuel pipelines with VICE Canada, and filmed a number of viral documentaries with AJ+. His photos, stories, and films have reached millions of people through Al Jazeera America, AJ+, VICE News, VICE Canada, Ricochet, Upworthy, and Rabble. His footage has appeared on CBC News, CTV, CP24, CityNews, APTN, and Democracy Now.
